Upcoming events

Big Brothers Big Sisters Jackson County would like to share the following information regarding the coronavirus. Please take note of the following link and an article from our local health department:

Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to keeping Bigs, Littles, families, staff, & supporters healthy & safe. We join our community in taking steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus

As participants and/or supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters Jackson County, we want to communicate openly with you about our procedures, plans and general tips for preventing the spread of COVID-19.

  • BBBSJC Staff will work remotely effective immediately until April 6 (at minimum).
  • Our Offices will remain open, minimally staffed, during normal business hours for phone calls throughout this period.
  • BBBSJC will limit business-related travel of all BBBSJC staff.
  • “All” weekly and monthly agency events, and programs are canceled until April 6 (at minimum). We will reevaluate at the beginning of April.
  • Effective today, BBBSJC strongly recommends that all Bigs and Littles avoid in-person match outings until April 6 (at minimum) and instead focus on building a friendship and academic support through email, phone, Twitter, text, FaceTime, etc.  Please contact your Match Support Specialist via email for ideas on how to stay connected.

Please stay safe, remain calm and continue helping those children in our area who need our support the most! Be sure to review and follow the Center for Disease Control’s recommendations for preventing the spread of illness. Thank you
